The Independent Schools October mid-term break is synonymous with the St David’s Marist Inanda Summer Sports Festival. It is massive gathering of school sportsmen, participating in three summer codes: basketball, water polo and cricket.

Day 1 of the SDMI Fasken Time Cricket Festival has begun. The day started with the annual Opening Breakfast with all 12 teams in attendance, along with invited guests.

The highlight of the breakfast was guest speaker and South African Cricketing legend, Allan Donald, who shared stories, insights and advice with the next generation of South African cricketers.  

St David’s Marist Inanda won the Challenge Cup tournament for the sixth time, beating St John’s 1-0 in the final on Sunday.

The 2025 St David’s Marist Inanda Nedbank Challenge Cup will go to a local team after the last remaining out-of-town sides – Hilton and Brebner – were knocked out by St David’s Marist Inanda and King Edward VII School, respectively, in the quarter finals on Saturday. 

The 2025 St David’s Marist Inanda Nedbank Challenge Cup kicked off in a freezing mist in Sandton on Friday, 8 August. 

On Wednesday the 12th of March we hosted our first Home Games of the Winter Sports Season against Randpark High. Our results were highly impressive.

This term was an especially busy one for our College students, with a packed Sports programme, numerous Cultural endeavours, and the demands of academics. Our students not only actively engaged with these activities, but excelled in all spheres and we congratulate every student for their achievements thus far.
