Boarding
The weekly boarding establishment at St David’s was opened in 2018 with the goal of providing pupils with extended access to our school’s facilities during the week, and to relieve Sandton traffic and other life pressures on families.
We have capacity for 41 weekly boarders, and applications are reviewed according to individual circumstances.
In order to ensure a family structure remains in place, boarders go home on Friday afternoons, and return on Sunday evenings or Monday mornings. The boarding establishment has been set up as a home away from home, with rules and routine in place to enable this.
Grade 8 boarders reside in four-boy dormitories, giving them the best possible chance to form solid friendships during the first of their high school years. The number of boys per dormitory reduces per ascending grade, but the communal ethos remains the same.
