The first inter-house event of the year took place on Friday, 13th January, with our College boys battling it out in the pool at the annual Inter-house Gala, which was ultimately won by Osmond House with 140 points.

We welcomed our new College students in an assembly held on the morning of the 13th of January, and inducted the Executives of the Matric leadership group as the Prefects for 2023.

We welcomed our boys - new or returning - to the 2023 school year on Wednesday, 11 January, and campus was once again alive with the sounds of students playing, friends reconnecting, new friends being made, and great excitement for the year ahead. 

On Friday, 28 October, the St David's Marist Inanda community assembled for Montagne Day Mass at the Fourviere Pool, where the College House Captains shared their house pledges, as well as an opportunity to honour the life and service of former St David's Chaplin Rev. Fr. Michael Austin SJ.

Over the mid-term break, St David's Marist Inanda held three concurrent festivals in both the Prep and College phases, for the sporting codes of Basketball, Cricket, and Water Polo, inviting well over 1 000 young sportsmen from schools across South Africa to enjoy our campus and share in the love of the game.

The St David's Marist Inanda Annual Art Exhibition returned in all its splendour after a near-three year hiatus, and the Champagnat Hall was transformed with colour, as we celebrate the creative endeavours of all our students from Mini-Marists to our Matric students exhibiting their final IEB artwork.

We are proud to share the awarding of four new National Protea Colours blazers in the College, bring the grand total for 2022 up to 7 students. Well done to these gentlemen on their dedication to their code, and for representing St David's Marist Inanda on the international stage. 

The Executive Matric Leadership group and House Leadership Body was announced during Speech Evening and at College Assembly, and we are pleased to announce Paolantonio Mariano as the 2023 Head of School, and Mark Ireland and Qhawe Manala as Deputy Heads of School.
