The SAHARA St David's Twenty20 Cricket Festival is an exciting showcase of young talent which brings together teams from top cricketing schools across the country.
The festival, now in its fourth year, has introduced a new and more explosive form of cricket at grass roots level and the youngsters playing the game are benefiting hugely from the experience.
The highlight of the Festival is the game between the SAHARA ALL STARS XI, which is a combination of cricketing legends and up-and-coming players in SA Cricket (Captained by Graeme Smith) vs. a Combined Schools XI, which is made up of players from the participating schools' teams. This game will take place on Friday, 10 September at 13h00 and will be broadcast on Super Sport as the precursor game to the opening game of the Champion’s League. This Champion League game will be broadcast on big-screen TV’s at the event so families are invited to make a full afternoon of it!
This Festival is a celebration of SA Cricket and we would love as many people as possible to support the LEGENDS game as well as the other School games over the Festival.
Entertainment provided by the Kid Zone, Beer Tent and Food Court.
